Arnold Byrge, 74, of Powell, Tennessee, passed away Monday, September 6, 2010 at Oak Ridge Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He was born August 5, 1936 in Campbell County, Tennessee, son of the late Brather and Ruthie Carroll Byrge. Arnold was married to Barbara Mathis Byrge, who survives.
He was a foreman for Asplundh Tree Experts and a member of the Bowell Mountain Baptist Church in Briceville, Tennessee.
Arnold is survived by a son, Robert Lisa Edmonds of Logan; a daughter, Patricia Larry Hoy of Athens; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; brothers, Goldman Byrge, Melton Byrge and Reddin Byrge and sisters, Jane Seeber, Bobbie Jean Tackett, Addie Marlow and Wilma Carson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Eddie, Jerry and Steve Edmonds and his grandsons, Kenny Marshall and Aaron Edmonds.
Graveside services will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, September 11, 2010 in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Logan with Rev. Ricci Arthur officiating. Friends may call at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, on Saturday, from 1:30 until the time of the service. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
