Rev. Kenneth Alan Donley

Rev. Kenneth Alan Donley, 57, of Nelsonville, passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 at Doctors Hospital Nelsonville. He was born October 2, 1952, in Camp Polk, Louisiana, son of Elinor Leach Montgomery of Niles and the late Carl Robert Donley. He was married to Linda Ramey Donley, who survives, for 38 years.

Rev. Donley spent 30 years in pastoral ministries in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana with the Church of the Nazarene and was the current pastor at the Millertown Church of Christ in Christian Union at Hemlock. He graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and was a member of the Logan Church of the Nazarene. Ken was an avid motorcycle rider and a member of the 2nd Thief Riders motorcycle outreach ministry. He had many interests and enjoyed bow hunting, ventriloquism, Christian magic, children's ministry, playing guitar, drums and singing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and church family.

In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by two daughters, Kendra Shane Bise of Columbus and Sarah Tim Neff of Lexington; a son, Nathan Katrina Donley of Lexington; five grandchildren, Tanner, Tyler and Emma Donley and Hannah and Isaac Neff; two brothers, Rev. Kevin Cindy Donley of Hillsboro, OR and Darryl Linda Donley of Warren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and a sister, Debbie Sawyer.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, September 24, 2010 at the Logan Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Thomas Gates and Rev. Kevin Donley officiating. Interment will be Friday at 2:30 PM at the Scioto Burial Park, McDermott, Ohio. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville and Friday one hour prior to the service at the Logan Church of the Nazarene.

The family suggests contributions in memory of Rev. Kenneth A. Donley be made to the Missions funds at either the Millertown Church of Christ in Christian Union, 8912 Hillside Ave., Hemlock, Ohio, 43730 or the Logan Church of the Nazarene, 650 Walhounding Ave., Logan, Ohio, 43138.
