Anna Ruth Morley

Anna Ruth Morley, 88, of McArthur, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born June 27, 1922 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Timothy Vinton and Velma Stuck Thompson. Ruth was the widow of the late William James Morley.

Ruth was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary Post #2279, the VFW Post #5299, and the SERENO Chapter #128 OES. She attended the McArthur United Methodist Church and Locust Grove United Methodist Church.

Ruth is survived by a sons, Steve Morley of McArthur; daughters, Martisha Paul Mercer of McArthur and Kathryn Russell Fee of McArthur; grandchildren, Julie Korey Thompson Trainer, Dustin Mercer and Laken Fee; great grandchildren, Jade Trainer, Lexi Kempton and Kane Thompson; a brother, Bob Sharon Thompson of Columbus; sisters, Margaret Shirk of Canal Winchester and Cheri Prince of McArthur and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Imogene Radcliff.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Thursday, September 30, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Paul Mercer and Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5-8 P.M.
