Mildred L. Kirby Marison

Mildred L. Kirby Marison, 93, of McArthur, passed away Monday, September 27, 2010 at Twin Maples Nursing Home in McArthur. She was born August 26, 1917 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Clyde T. and Ora Wharton Lee.

Mildred is survived by her daughter-in-law, Nancy L. Kirby of McArthur; grandchildren, Richard Kirby, Sharon Kirby, John Kirby, David Lisa Kirby, Earl Kirby and Steven Kirby; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and special friend and neighbors, Annajane Reffett and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Harold Kirby and John William Kirby Jr.; an infant daughter; one brother, Merlin Lee and an infant sister.

Graveside services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, October 1, 2010 in Elk Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Thursday from 6-8 P.M.
