Marinda Slone

Marinda Slone, 87, of Hampton VA went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2010. She was born November 1, 1922, of Miles M. Slone and Ada Slone in Pine Top Kentucky.

Ms. Slone is survived by her sister Marie Prater of Hampton VA, her sister Ruby Tiller of Nashville TN, and her brother Burnard Slone of Apache Junction AZ.

She was preceded in death by her father Miles M. Slone, her mother Ada Slone, her half sister Brooke Tiller, her brother Camillas Slone, her sister Myrtle Pratt, her brother Herman Slone, her brother Clyde Slone, her brother Winston Slone, and her sister Ruth Pyck. Ms. Slone is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.

She was such a loving and caring person, loved little children, and was so generous with her beautiful smiles. Ms. Slone loved the Lord and will truly be missed.

Graveside services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, October 18, 2010 in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. No visitation will be observed. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
