Maude B. Lohr

Maude B. Lohr, 95, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born March 5, 1915 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Robert and Louisa Hildebrandt Hunt. Maude was the widow of the late Judge Wade H. Lohr.

She was a retired Bookkeeper from Engle Construction, a Gold Star Mother and a member of the McArthur BPW.

Maude is survived by her daughter-in-law, Karen D. Edward Hayes of Huntsville, Ohio; step grandchildren, Stuart and Stephen Hayes both of Tuscan, Arizona and a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Hunt of Columbus.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, L. Eugene Barnes, who passed away in Vietnam and a brother, Walter Hunt.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, October 24, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
