Wilma G. Poling Bainter, 92, of Logan, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. She was born September 28, 1918 in Perry County, daughter of the late Franklin and Mary Crooks Poling. Wilma was the widow of the late Clyde C. Bainter.
She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Logan.
Wilma is survived by a son, Larry Bainter of Wilmington, Delaware; grandchildren, Andrea Walker, R. Brian Bainter and Scott Bainter; great grandchildren, Sam and Jack Bainter; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Bainter of New Straitsville; her caretaker, best friend and niece, Eloise Mundy of Logan; brothers, Ralph Poling of Elyria, Ohio and Warren Poling of Sandusky and a sister, Evelyn Rogers of Elyria, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Burl, Rolland and Ray Poling; a sister, Freda Stiverson; a son, Robert Bainter and grandson, Tommy Bainter.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, December 7, 2010 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Mark Daniels officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 6-8 P.M.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Wilma G. Bainter to The Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
