William Lee Mitchell Sr.

William Lee Mitchell Sr., 67, of Amesville, passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. He was born December 5, 1943 in Murray City, son of the late Gilbert and Martha Margaret Campbell Mitchell. William was married for 33 years to Ellen Federer Mitchell, who survives.

William is survived by his children, William Mitchell Jr. of Jackson, Anna Randy Coffman of Trimble, Patricia Dan Stefko of Ashland, Darrell Tara Mitchell of Genea, Bonnie Byron Schoolcraft Mitchell of Trimble, Timothy Tabitha Mitchell of Corning, Jamie James Spratlin of Athens, Errett Amanda Mitchell of Amesville, Blake Sarah Mitchell of Amesville, Ashley Kent Felts of Nelsonville and Jessica Mitchell of Nelsonville; twenty-nine grandchildren; one great grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Dave Mills of The Plains and many nieces, nephews and family friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert E. Mitchell Jr.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, December 10, 2010 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Perry County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4-8 P.M.
