Florence Lucille Barney

Florence Lucille Barney, 92, of Londonderry, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Westmoreland Place in Chillicothe. She was born November 23, 1918 in Ray, Ohio, daughter of the late Eli and Goldie Stuck Woltz. Florence was the widow of the late Byron Everett Barney.

She was a retired cook for Allensville School.

Florence is survived by sons, Ronald Nancy Barney of Spring Lake, North Carolina and Emmitt Ruth Barney of Londonderry; daughters, Delores Atwood of Chillicothe and Vickie Dennis Clary of Londonderry; grandchildren, Debra Bill Conner, Tricia Lowe, Troy Misty Conner, Brian Wendy Barney, Everett Leann Barney, Emmitt Barney Jr., Christal Thomas Bateman, Brigitte Clary, Jennifer Eric Bartholomew, Katrina Clary and Christy Clary; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren and a sister, Evelyn Brummitt of New Carlisle.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Irene Conner; three brothers and six sisters.

Graveside services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, December 17, 2010 in Log Pile Cemetery, Vinton County with Rev. James McFadden officiating. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Thursday, from 6-8 P.M.
