Jacob Bartoe Jr.

Jacob Bartoe Jr., 79, of Columbus, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at his residence. He was born April 9, 1931 in McArthur, son of the late Jacob and Flora Mae Townsend Bartoe Sr. Jacob was married to Franziska Kapfhammer Bartoe, who survives.

He formerly worked at Buckeye Steel Casting and was a member of Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Columbus.

Jacob is survived by sons, Terry Joyce Bartoe, Michael Fonda Bartoe, Donnie Bartoe, Jeff Bartoe and Kevin Bartoe; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a sister, Mary Lou Gerald Wilkins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wesley and Gerald Bartoe and sisters, Regina McKnight, Lucille Bartoe and Lola DePue.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, December 21, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. David McKnight officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 12 noon until the time of the service.
