Hester E. Kinnison

Hester E. Kinnison, 97, of McArthur, passed away Monday, December 20, 2010 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. She was born November 15, 1913 in Haydenville, Ohio, daughter of the late Kella Olis and Elizabeth Helen Merriman Mount. Hester was the widow of the late James Daniel Kinnison.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in McArthur, a member of the Circle of Ruth at the First Christian Church and a member of the Sereno Chapter #128 OES.

Hester is survived by a son, Danny L. Kinnison of McArthur; daughters, Ruth Anne Robert Conley of Casper, Wyoming, Rita Joe Thompson of McArthur, Kathryn Larry Davis Ward of McArthur and Nancy Paul Dixon of Mineola, Texas; grandchildren, Steven Karen Dixon, Christine Michael Edwards and Barbara David Moore all of Texas, Shane Jennifer Conley, Mindy R. Linch all of Wyoming, Mark Annette Thompson, Joseph Samantha Thompson and Todd Kinnison all of McArthur; great grandchildren, Jennifer, Sarah, Chrystal, Mychelle, Aaron, Cameron, Brandon, Korey, Briana, Steven, Shawn, Benjamin, Bethany, Kaitlin and Tanner; great great grandchildren, Emily and Kane; brothers, Howard Mount of Westerville and Floyd Joanne Mount of Logan; a sister, Juanita Jim Inboden of Logan; sisters-in-law, Edith Mount of Union Furnace and Gloria Allen of Lancaster; a special friend, Karen Kovey of McArthur and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Edith, Florence, Roberta and Josephine and brothers, Clyde, Orval, Kenneth, Albert, Max, Jimmy and Raymond.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Greg Inboden officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. with an Eastern Star service being held at 7 P.M.
