Melissa Jane Lowery

Melissa Jane Lowery, 44, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010 at her residence. She was born May 6, 1966 in Nelsonville, daughter of Carroll Pat Riley of Hamden and the late Rita Mackie Smart. Melissa was married for 28 years to Michael Thomas Lowery of Nelsonville.

Melissa is survived by her daughters, Trisha Dawn Lowery of Nelsonville, Kayla Marie Lowery of Murray City and Abbigail Lynn Lowery of the home; sons, Tyler Michael Lowery of Carbon Hill and Kristopher Nathan Lowery of the home; grandchildren, Annesty, Dakota, Paige, Christian and Jayce and sisters, Marilyn Frank Hogsett of Nelsonville, Marsha Riley of Corning and Michele Travis Jackson of Londonderry.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ruth Mackie and uncle, William Mackie.

Friends may call from 5-8 P.M., Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette, St., Nelsonville. No services will be held, cremation will follow visitation.
