Carolyn Lee Blankenship, 67, of McArthur, passed away Monday, January 3, 2011 at Regency Hospital in Columbus. She was born July 20, 1943 in Circleville, daughter of the late Howard and Mary Van Vokinburg Rife. Carolyn was married to Rev. William Blankenship, who survives.
Carolyn was a strong Christian.
She is survived by sons, Billy Joe Blankenship of Circleville, Will Blankenship of McArthur and David W. Blankenship of Zaleski; a daughter, Elizabeth Copley of McArthur; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren and a sister, Helen Short of Ashville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janette Rife, and her sisters, Georgie Gaines and Irene Harter.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, January 7, 2011 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Minister Judy Dodrill officiating. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6-8 P.M.
