Ruth Elizabeth Mcwhorter

Ruth Elizabeth McWhorter, 86, of Londonderry, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus. She was born December 11, 1924 in Londonderry, daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Ratcliff Meeker. Ruth was the widow of the late Guy McWhorter.

She is survived by a son, Roger Patricia McWhorter of Londonderry; grandchildren, Wendy and Jason; a special grandson-in-law, Jason Malone; great grandchildren, Brian, Gavin, Jadyn, Jordan and Colt; a brother, James Meeker of Chillicothe and sisters, Mary Elliot, Evelyn Clary and Marie Diehl all of Chillicothe.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Howard, Donald and Robert Meeker and a sister, Helen Ice.

Graveside services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, January 13, 2011 in Londonderry Cemetery, Londonderry with Rev. Jim McFadden officiating. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur on Wednesday, from 2-8 P.M.
