Ernest Clinton Zinn

Ernest Clinton Zinn, 82, of Hamden, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Huston Nursing Home in Hamden. He was born October 23, 1928 in Radcliff, Ohio, son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Pierce Zinn.

Ernie was a mechanic for the automotive and coal mining industries.

He is survived by a son, Wayne Dorothy Zinn of Virginia Beach, Virginia; daughters, Betty John Davis of Wellston, Carolyn Rick Denney of Honolulu, Hawaii and Pam Joe Jones of Thurman; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; a brother, Henry Zinn of Hamden and a sister, Audra Collins of Hamden.

In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles ""Pink"", George and Woodrow Zinn; a sister, Zelma Murray; a granddaughter, Sandi Weiland and his former wife, Jane Zinn.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, January 14, 2011, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Eric Folk officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4-8 P.M.
