Edwin V. Steward

Edwin V. Steward, 74, of Londonderry, passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at his residence. He was born May 22, 1936 in Vinton County, son of the late Jackson and Dorothy Sowers Steward. Edwin was married to Martha Wise Steward, who survives.

He was a greeter at Wal-Mart in Chillicothe and a Volunteer Fireman for Harrison Township, Vinton County.

Edwin is survived by a son, David Steward; daughters, Debora Weaver, Terri Jones and Linda Tom Fout; grandchildren, Brian Diana Jones, Danny Karla Coleman Fout, Shawn Michele Hester Fout, Tommy Fout III and David Pitts; eighteen grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister-in-law, Patricia Steward; special friend, Lawrence Farley and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Cordell Steward; a sister, Barbara Clements and a great grandchild, Nicolai Fout.

Graveside services will be held 3 P.M., Friday, January 14, 2011, in Bell Cemetery, Vinton County with Michael Lyons and Lawrence Farley officiating. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Friday, from 1 to 2:30 P.M.
