Michael E. Kraft, 65, of Logan, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011 at his residence. He was born January 27, 1945 in Rockbridge, son of the late Jake and Beulah Miller Kraft. Mike was married to LaDonna Peppers Kraft, who survives.
He was a retired pipe fitter from Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local #189 in Columbus, a Vietnam Air Force Veteran and a life member of the 80th Fighter Squadron Headquarters. Mike was also a life member of AMVETS Post #1776, a member of the American Legion in Logan and was a HOG Club member.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by his daughter, Tez Patrick Reardon of Reynoldsburg; his grandson, who was papaw's buddy, Tyson; a brother, Steve Karen Kraft of Lancaster; sisters, Janice Schmitter of Westerville and Sue Haitz of Michigan; a special friend, Chuck Farrar of Logan and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Bill and Loy Kraft and a sister, Pat Wharton.
A memorial service will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, January 22, 2011 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Mike's wishes were to be cremated. No visitation will be observed. Military services will be conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard.
