Nellie I. Bowlby

Nellie I. Bowlby, 92, of Logan, passed away January 17, 2011 at Arcadia Acres Nursing Home in Hocking County. She was born November 4, 1918 in Hocking County, daughter of the late George and Cora Mohler Miller. Nellie was the widow of the late Harry O. Bowlby.

She was a retired cake decorator.

Nellie is survived by a daughter, June J. Robert L. Blackford of Logan; grandchildren, Valerie Russ Crocker, Daniel P. Harris, Tee Keith Lytle and Joe Steph Blackford; thirteen great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; a brother, Jesse Miller of Logan; sisters, Dorothy Wolfe of New Straitsville, Mary Bowers of The Plains and Clara of Pennsylvania and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Myrtle Amos; brothers, Sherman, Carl, Homer and Elmer Miller and great granddaughter, Sierra Lytle.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Thursday, January 20, 2011 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Vern Goss officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Perry County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 6-8 P.M.
