Wilma Jean Cunningham

Wilma Jean Cunningham, 74, of Nelsonville, passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. She was born April 29, 1936 in Athens County, daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Stufflebeam Maffin. Wilma was married to Elbert ""Red"" Cunningham, who survives.

She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Nelsonville.

Wilma is survived by a sister, Ruth ""Sue"" Sheward of Carbon Hill and many nieces and nephews, some who she raised.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by thirteen brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, February 4, 2011 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Rev. King Kelly officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 5-8 P.M.
