Danny E. Lyons

Danny E. Lyons, 64, of Chauncey, passed away, Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born August 21, 1946 in Kimberly, Ohio, son of the late Lawrence Lyons and Betty Van Meter Shaver. Danny was married for 27 years to Pamela Spears Lyons, who survives.

He was a member of the Logan Moose, a former Chauncey Council Member who worked hard for his community.

Danny is survived by his children, Danny DeLoach of Columbus, Waylon Jessica Brooks Lyons of Chauncey, Jessica Lyons of Chauncey, Lisa Lyons of Chauncey and Lori James Rupe Lee of The Plains; grandchildren, Robert, Josselynn and Kaydence; eight siblings and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Marie Lyons.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, February 17, 2011 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Shawnee Cemetery, Shawnee. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 3-8 P.M.
