Judith Sue Tackett Pickett

Judith Sue Tackett Pickett, 60, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville. She was born August 10, 1950 in Nelsonville, daughter of the late William and Doris McKnight Tackett.

Judy is survived by a daughter, Taffenie Troy Smith of Nelsonville; son, William Pickett of Nelsonville; stepson, Denver Marty Pickett Jr., of Nelsonville; grandchildren, Valerie, Hunter, Thatcher, Cody, Blain, Macalob, Trinity, Coleman and Ashlyn; a brother, Michael Pam Tackett of Nelsonville; sister, Tammy Steve Deel of Logan and her former husband, Denver Pickett of Nelsonville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Tatum Smith and several aunts and uncles.

Judy has been cremated. A memorial service will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Dave Shoemaker officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 12 noon until the time of the service.
