Ronald L. Yogi Bear Hogue

Ronald ""Yogi Bear"" L. Hogue Sr., 63, of Millfield, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born July 16, 1947 in Toledo, son of the late Raymond and Virginia Chancey Hogue. Ron was married for 27 years to Connie J. Betts Hogue, who survives.

He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the VFW and DAV.

Ron is survived by a son, Ronald Hogue Jr. of The Plains; a stepson, Dana Betts of McArthur; daughters, Kim McCloud of Athens, Tina Smathers of The Plains and Jenny John West Hogue of Millfield; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; a brother, Lloyd Hogue of Glouster; a sister, Cheryl John Byers of Glouster and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Samantha West.

Graveside services will be held 2 P.M., Friday, February 25, 2011 in Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield, with military graveside services being conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster.
