Ellen G. Hutchison

Ellen G. Hutchison, 90, of The Plains, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. She was born October 29, 1920 in Athens County, daughter of the late Pearly A. and Etta Linsey Hutchinson. Ellen was the widow of the late Uhlan Hutchison.

She retired after 26 years of service from Kroger Baking Company in Columbus.

Ellen is survived by a great nephew, Heath Megan Hutchinson of Nelsonville and two great nieces, Vicki Tom McKinley of Athens and Heidi Chris Caster of Seattle, Washington.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Lee Hutchison; sisters, Jean Smart and Clara McKee; brothers, William and Charles Hutchinson; a half brother, Vernon Hutchinson; a half sister, Marie Barber; a nephew, Keith Hutchinson and a niece, Mary Ellen Hashman.

Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
