Chester R. Maynard

Chester R. Maynard, 59, of Creola, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 20, 2011 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family with a smile on his face. He was born April 21, 1951 in Columbus, son of the late John and Thelma Crum Maynard.

He was a paper cutter for W.A. Storing.

Chester is survived by a son, Todd Mandi Maynard of West Jefferson; a daughter, Lori John Holzapfel of Westerville; grandchildren, Taylor ""Tater Bug"" Maynard, John and Zach Holzapfel; brothers, John L. Betty Maynard of Creola and James Bonita Maynard of Columbus; sisters, Imogene Scraggs of Creola and Linda Truax of Columbus and several nieces, nephews and aunts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Eddie and Rickey Maynard.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Locust Grove United Methodist Church, 26544 Locust Grove Rd., McArthur, with Pastor Donald Lamb officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call on Wednesday at the church, from 11 A.M. until the time of the service. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
