Martha G. Andrews

Martha G. Andrews, 82, of McArthur, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011 at West Moreland Place in Chillicothe. She was born September 9, 1928 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Floyd and Edith Eberts Trainer. Martha was the widow of the late John Andrews.

She was the co-owner of Andrews Ford in McArthur and was a member of the First Christian Church in McArthur. Martha was on the Board of Directors for the Vinton County Metropolitan Housing Authority and was a member of SERENO Chapter #128 OES in McArthur.

She is survived by sons, Stephen Debbie Andrews of McArthur and Gary Andrews of McArthur; grandchildren, Amy Shawn Lewis, David Mandy Andrews, Mike Kim Andrews and Megan Andrews; great grandchildren, Hayleigh Lewis and Gracie Andrews; a brother, David June Trainer of Richmondale; sisters, Sue Petry of McArthur and Connie Kellough of California; her former daughter-in-law and friend, Annette Andrews and a special friend, her miniature dachshund, Dolly.

In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth, Clair and Ray Trainer and a sister, Doris Moore.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, March 31, 2011 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Paul Bomeli officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5-8 P.M. where an Eastern Star service will be held at 7 P.M.
