Grace Louise Windle, 95, of Nelsonville, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville. She was born June 13, 1915 in Athens County, daughter of the late James and Goldie Thompson Kuhn. Grace was the widow of the late local entertainer, Henry Everett ""88 Keys"" Windle.
She attended the Nelsonville Church of The Nazarene, was a former member of Doctors Hospital TWIG V and was an avid reader. Grace was a loving mother and grandmother and was an inspiration to all the lives she touched.
She is survived by sons, Stanley Priscilla Windle of Columbus, Tom Lori Windle of Las Vegas, Nevada and Joe Bob Teena Windle of Nelsonville; daughters, Rebecca William Smith of Logan and Debbie Roger Winland of Athens; grandchildren, Steve Windle of Nevada, Christopher Smith of Rootstown, Kimberly Conroy of Tennessee, Michelle Stage of Tennessee, Vickie Gray of Virginia, Terrie Ross of Virginia, Jerry Smith of Lancaster, Scott Smith of Logan and Eric Young of Athens; seventeen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a sister, Donna Bob Seiple of Columbus and many friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Grace was preceded in death by three brothers, Dwight, Delbert and Chuck Kuhn and sisters, Joann Kuhn, Nellie LeFever, Ruth Shaw and Mary Warner.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Thursday, April 14, 2011 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Ed True officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 5-8 P.M.
