Donald Leroy Graves

Donald Leroy Graves, 63, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in McArthur, surrounded by his daughters. He was born May 6, 1947 in McArthur, son of Rev. Clyde W. and Virginia Hubbard Graves of McArthur.

Don was the Pastor of the First Christian Church in McArthur. He enjoyed coaching youth, being the choir director at his church and loved bible study. Don also enjoyed music, history and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughters, Julie Reed of McArthur, Carrie Ward of McArthur, Tracey Rudy of Hilliard, Melody Graves-Allen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Ashley Graves of McArthur and Allison Graves of McArthur; grandchildren, Megan, Kelsey, Ryan, Kara, Emily, Kerrigan, Eryn, Kaitlin and Zachary; great grandchildren, Bradon and Emmalyn and a brother, Gene Brenda Graves of Lima.

Don was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Graves and a grandson, Shon Michael.

A memorial service will be held 11 A.M., Friday, April 29, 2011 in the First Christian Church, 207 E. High St., McArthur. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Thursday, from 5-8 P.M.
