David Ralph Napper

David Ralph Napper, 82, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Edgewood Manor in Wellston. He was born January 1, 1929 in Vinton County, son of the late James Napper and Shirley Sizemore Spurlock.

David retired from Austin Powder and was a WWII Navy Veteran.

He is survived by sons, John W. Napper and Clinton C. Kimberly Napper; a daughter, Ruth George Ruggiero; four grandchildren, including Thomas R. Ruggiero; brothers, Robert and Kenneth Napper; sisters, Breta Rose and Tina Johnson; several nieces and nephews, including Misty Napper and Tina Wiseman and many friends at the McArthur Senior Citizens Center.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a sister, Tanya Robertson.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Sunday, May 1, 2011, in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Randall Hall officiating. Interment will be in Radcliff Cemetery, Radcliff. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, from 5-8 P.M.
