Bernard Eugene Martin

Bernard Eugene ""Bernie"" Martin, 50, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, April 29, 2011 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. He was born March 8, 1961, in Nelsonville, son of the late Ted and Martha Bruce Martin.

He is survived by his former wife, Carla; three daughters, Karla ""Koo"" Eddie Anderson Martin of The Plains, Meliessa ""Dozer"" Travis Scherer of Nelsonville and Christina Rittenberry of Hillsboro; eight grandchildren, Isaiah, Lawrence and Sharon Anderson, Irene Scherer, soon to be grandson, Leland Scherer, Dylean Coldiron, Bethany Coldiron and Alaura Rittenberry; four sisters, Debbie Martin, Sheryl Jim Davis, Cindy Lax all of Nelsonville and Sheila Russ Barnhart of Hollister; four brothers, Teddy Becky Martin of Millfield, Dewayne Martin, Jerry Martin and Mitchell Martin all of Nelsonville; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Martin of Nelsonville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Henry L. Martin and a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Danny Albright.

Arrangements are by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville.
