Billy Ray Lane

Billy Ray Lane, 56, of McArthur, passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born March 28, 1955 in Menifee Co., Kentucky, son of the late Leonard E. Lane and Lorena Lawson Lane Crain.

Billy Ray was an auto body technician, a member of the McArthur VFW and the McArthur Eagles.

He is survived by a son, Bill L. Mickey Lane of Kentucky; a daughter, Samantha Sturgill of Kentucky; a brother, Ronnie Jean Lane of Kentucky; his special companion, Carolyn Grigsby; Carolyn's two children, D.J. Trudy Grigsby and Brian Amy Grigsby all of McArthur; Carolyn's four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandy Brown and his son-in-law, Brian Sturgill.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, May 11, 2011 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Michael Grizzell, guest speaker. Interment will be in Bell Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5-8 P.M.
