Jane Janie Thomas

Jane ""Janie"" Thomas, 67, of Buchtel, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville. She was born January 11, 1944 in Carbondale, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles and Edith Winona Hill Stump. Janie was the widow of the late Jim Thomas.

She worked at William Brooks Shoe Company, Nelsonville Lanes and Goodyear in Logan. Janie loved her children, grandchildren and her cat Callie. She was a huge Phil Dirt and The Dozers fan, she has the gift of gab and never met a stranger.

Janie is survived by daughters, Tina Ben Roth of Pleasantville and Teresa Kevin Kelly Thomas of Pickerington; grandchildren, Haylie, Colton and Katie Roth, Brittany, Alison and Ty Wallce; brothers, Clifford Stump of Columbus and Charles Dixie Stump of Nelsonville; sisters, Faye Reeves of Logan, Gladys Holley of The Plains, Sissy Alan Strickler of Columbus and Terry Vickie Trimble of Columbus and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Irene Trimble, Ella Bodkins, Mildred Brumfield, Eddie Stump, Willard Stump, Paul Stump, Howard Stump, Floyd Stump and John Trimble.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Friday, May 20, 2011 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Hocking County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4-8 P.M.
