Sherman Sheldon Skip Johnson Iii

Sherman Sheldon ""Skip"" Johnson III, 54, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus. He was born November 4, 1956 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, son of Carolyn Suzanne McMillen Johnson of Logan and the late Sherman Sheldon Johnson Jr.

He was a Navy Veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church in Logan and was an avid Ohio State Fan.

Skip is survived by a son, Andrew Dustin Johnson of Toledo; brothers, Michael Kyle Johnson of Zanesville and Clinton E. Karen Johnson of Cleveland and sisters, Shelly Paul Faught Cosper of Logan and Jaqueline Lee Johnson of Ormond Beach, Florida.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, May 20, 2011 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Wayne Cosper officiating. Interment will be held 1 P.M., Friday, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 23rd St. and Park Ave., Parkersburg, West Virginia, 26101, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Parkersburg American Legion Post #15. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6-8 P.M.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Sherman Sheldon ""Skip"" Johnson III, to the Hocking County Humane Society, P.O. Box 863, Logan, Ohio 43138.
