Gladys L. Holley, 85, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in The Plains. She was born April 11, 1926 in Carbondale, Ohio, daughter of the late Charles and Edith Hill Stump. Gladys was the widow of the late James Holley.
She was a member of the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church.
Gladys is survived by her sons, Charles Nedra Holley of Nelsonville, Steve Holley of Nelsonville and Don Emma Holley of Nelsonville; daughters, Patty Holley of Nelsonville and Bonnie Bob Rounds of Maryland; a special daughter, Teresa Kevin Kelly Thomas of Pickerington; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brothers, Charles Dixie Stump of Nelsonville and Clifford Stump of Columbus; a sister, Faye Reeves of Logan and a sister-in-law, Nancy Stump of Albany.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene Trimble, Ella Bodkins, Mildred Brumfield and Janie Thomas; brothers, Floyd, Paul, Howard, Willard and Eddie Stump; daughter-in-law, Deloris Holley and a great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery, Hocking County. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4-8 P.M.
