Madeline Wagner

January 21, 1921 — June 20, 2011

Madeline Wagner, 90, of Grove City, passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital in Columbus. She was born January 20, 1921 in Logan, daughter of the late A.T. and Virginia ""Virgie"" Ashbaugh DeLong. Madeline was the widow of the late Joseph ""Joe"" Wagner.

She was a former sales representative for Avon, a member of Buchtel United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Group. Madeline was also a member of the Nelsonville Elks and the United Bowling Association.

She is survived by her grandchildren, DeDe Buchan of Columbus and Dora Jo Wagner of Columbus; great grandchildren, Alex and Cory Buchan; daughter-in-law, Belva Wagner of Columbus and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Madeline was preceded in death by her son, David Wagner; brother, Delbert DeLong and sister, Jean Meek.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Pastor Dave Shoemaker officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, June 27, 2011 from 6-8 P.M.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Madeline, to the American Cancer Society, Central Region Office-VINT, 870 Michigan Ave., Columbus, OH 43215 or the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio, 3380 Tremont Rd., Columbus, OH 43221.
