Orval G. John Davis

Orval G. ""John"" Davis, 70, of Creola, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. He was born June 28, 1941 in Columbus, son of the late Orval and Nina Rhoads Davis Sr. John was married to Blanche Woodgeard Shaeffer Davis, who survives.

He worked at Mason's Autobody.

John is survived by a son, Tyke Carla Shaeffer of Creola; grandchildren, Megan Shaeffer, Cody Lindinger, Cory Lindinger and Colt Shaeffer and a brother, Tom Davis of Columbus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheri Lindinger.

Private graveside services will be held Friday, July 22, 2011 in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Friends may call Thursday, from 6-8 P.M., at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
