Dorthy F. Nutt

Dorthy F. Nutt, 70, of Hamden, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011 at her residence. She was born September 25, 1940 in Vinton County, daughter of the late William Louis and Mamie Malone Brenneisen. Dorthy was the widow of the late Allen ""Bruce"" Nutt.

She is survived by a daughter, Diana L. Rex Sims of McArthur; sons, Douglas Allen Kathy Nutt of Beaver, Ohio and Michael A. Nutt of Hamden; four grandchildren, Desiree Nutt-Sandlin, Melena Nutt and Scott and Randall Sims and a brother, Charles Nancy Brenneisen of Hamden.

In addition to her parents and husband, Dorthy was preceded in death by her grandson, Eric Sims and sisters, Mary Sowers and Freda Brenneisen.

Dorthy's wishes were to be cremated. No service or visitation will be held. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Dorthy F. Nutt, to Hospice of Adena Health System, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
