Raymond Andrew Woodgeard

Raymond Andrew Woodgeard, 91, of Creola, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011 at Arcadia Acres Nursing Home in Logan. He was born October 24, 1919 in Hocking County, son of the late Andrew Jackson and Blanche Lovin Eggleston Woodgeard.

He was a retired railroad engineer, a WWII Army Veteran and an avid farmer.

Raymond is survived by his sons, Andrew Judy Woodgeard of Springfield, Mack Sandy Woodgeard of Laurelville and Terry Charlotte Woodgeard of Creola; a daughter, Blanche Shaeffer Davis of Creola; grandchildren, Tyke Carla Shaeffer, Chad Julie Woodgeard, April Josh Nelson, Melinda Jay Hanson, Jeanette Matthews, Shawn Woodgeard and Tim Kelly Woodgeard; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Woodgeard; brothers, Sam, George and Casper and sisters, Maude, Roselle, Allie, Mae and Florence.

Graveside services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, August 12, 2011 in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Thursday, from 6-8 P.M.
