Larry E. Jarvis

Larry E. Jarvis 75 of Logan passed away August 11, 2011 as a result of an auto accident near Nelsonville. He was born June 16, 1936 in Ashland, Ohio son of the late Bernard N. and Pauline Lindsay Jarvis. He was married to Karin Seidner Jarvis who survives. They have been married for 53 years.

Larry was a heavy equipment salesman, a veteran of the US Navy Seabees, a member of Smith Chapel U.M. Church, member of Mingo Lodge #171 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Temple Shrine, Columbus, Hocking Hills Shrine Club, The Kentucky Colonels, The Old Car Club, he was Past Commander of Amvets Post 1776 in Logan and Dept. of Ohio 3rd Vice Commander.

Larry is survived by a son K. Michael Jenny Jarvis of Rushville, a daughter Kristi Dr. Steven Walter of Cary N.C., grandchildren Jared Kirstin Jarvis, Maura, Leah, and Clayton Walter, and a great grandson Stran Jarvis.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Nancy Jarvis.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday in the Cardaras Funeral Home 183 E. Second St. Logan, Ohio with Dee Mowry officiating. Interment will be on Thursday at 12 Noon in the Vermillion Twp. Cemetery, Hayesville, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8PM and on Thursday at the Cemetery 1 hour prior to the services.

Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30PM Tuesday at the funeral home and military graveside services will be conducted my the Hocking Co. Honor Guard.

The family suggests contributions be made to Aladdin Shrine Hospital Association for Children 3850 Stelzer Rd. Columbus, Ohio 43219
