Loyd G. Beavers, 92, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. He was born May 9, 1919 in Hocking County, son of the late George and Myrtle Fetherolf Beavers. Loyd was married to Linda Snedegar Beavers, who survives.
He retired from King Lumber Co., was a WWII Army Veteran and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Logan.
Loyd is survived by his son, Delbert L. Laura Beavers of Logan; stepson, John Linda Collins of North Carolina; stepdaughters, Lisa Mount of Logan and Amanda Doug Goss of Logan; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Omen, Ora and Charles Beavers; sister, Grace Later and his first wife, Karrie Belle Kline Beavers.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, August 20, 2011 in the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 15024 SR 328, Logan, with Rev. Tom Walz officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, on Friday, from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. and on Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
