Glendon Eugene Stevens

Glendon Eugene Stevens, 57, of South Bloomingville, passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 at his residence. He was born April 18, 1954 in Hocking County, the son of Donna Speakman Stevens of South Bloomingville and the late Earnest Stevens.

Glendon retired from Operating Engineers.

He is survived by sons, Brandon and Dana Stevens; daughters, Beth Ann Stevens and Molly Stevens; four grandchildren; brothers, Larry, Gilbert and Wade Stevens; sisters, Anna Darlene Stevens Bowman, Joyce Hunter, Lisa Stevens Poole, Uteva Hiles and Charlotte Payne and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Glendon was preceded in death by a son, Clifton Stevens and a brother, Clifton Stevens.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Friday, September 9, 2011 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. James Wine officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Vinton County, with military graveside services being conducted by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 11 A.M., until the time of the service.
