Mildred Pauline Rider 1917-2011

Pauline was called home to be with the Lord, Friday, September 9, 2011. She was the daughter of Margaret Morrison Stanley and Monroe Stanley, born July 19, 1917 in Flatwoods, Greenup County, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 50 years, Howard Rider; brother, Clarence Margot Stanley; sisters, Edna Frank Burch and Beatrice Camp all of Oakdale, California; sister, Haulsie Raymond Lyons of Ashland, Kentucky; half brother, Sherman Stanley and sister, Nellie Rafferty of New Plymouth, Ohio.

She is survived by her devoted daughter Sylvia Carol of the home; brother, Charles Ferne Stanley of New Plymouth; niece, Mary Alice Six Bird and nephew, John King Six both of Xenia, Ohio; many other nieces and nephews; church friends and neighbors and very special best friend, Celia Blair.

She was a member of New Plymouth Grange #1856 and long time member of The First Church of Christ, in Logan.

Pauline was always a quiet sweet lady, who loved gardens, flowers and little yellow lab puppies. She devoted her life to family and home and loved them with all her heart.

The family wishes in lieu of flowers, contributions be made in her name to Dementia-Alzheimer's Research, the Logan Animal Shelter or the Pet Orphanage.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Vernon Barrell, Mark Barrell and Andy Good officiating. Entombment will be in New Fairview Mausoleum, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 6-8 P.M.
