Derek Michael Linton

Derek Michael Linton, 30, of Logan, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011 at his residence. He was born February 2, 1981 in Logan, son of Michael Linton of Logan and Ardeth E. Rutherford of Nelsonville. Derek was married to Shawna E. Dewey Linton, who survives.

He was formerly employed at Hocking Valley Concrete.

In addition to his parents and wife, Derek is survived by his three sons, Mason Michael Linton, Owen Eli and Avery Shawn Linton; brothers, Christopher Riley Nixon and Aaron Sebastian Linton; sisters, Abigale Layne Linton and Emily Ann Linton; grandparents, Mary and Ray Vollmer and Gale Monk; stepmother, Lori A. Linton and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be held 10 A.M., Monday, September 19, 2011 at New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge, with Rev. Charles Fidler officiating. No calling hours will be observed. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Citizens Bank, 188 W. Main St., Logan, Ohio 43138, to benefit his children.
