Paul Otis Pratt

Paul Otis Pratt, 82, of New Vienna, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born February 11, 1929 in Logan County, son of the late Otis Ulysses Pratt and Nellie M. Payne Pratt Mobley.

He attended the Living Waters Worship Center in New Vienna. He retired from the Vinton County Courthouse where he was custodian for many years.

He is survived by children, Ross Mary Pratt of Hillsboro, Paul Pratt, Jr. of Waverly, Linda Von Baughman of Kenton, Paula Payne of Kenton and Carla Fast of Indiana; 19 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Pauline Caskey of McArthur and half brothers, Donnie Nancy Mobley and Harold Sharon Mobley both of Rushylvania.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Payne; daughter, Clara Marie Pratt; grandson, Rusty Kirkpatrick; sisters, Evelyn Nichols and Mae Wilson and a half sister, Jenny Mobley.

Funeral services will be held 12 P.M. Monday, September 19, 2011 at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Pastor Mark J. Wilkinson officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
