Daniel N. Dotson

Daniel N. Dotson, 81, of Logan, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born August 15, 1930 in Hocking County, son of the late Clyde C. and Augusta May Cantwell Dotson. Daniel was married to Betty Joan Miller Dotson, who survives.

He formerly worked for GTE as a central office technician, was a Korean Conflict Army Veteran, a member of St. John Catholic Church in Logan and was a member of the American Legion in Logan.

Daniel is survived by his son, Kevin Dotson of Nelsonville; stepson, Kenneth Barb Helber of Logan; stepdaughters, Kendra McKinley of Logan and Debbie Gary Stevens of Logan; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde E. and Carl E. Dotson; sisters, Shirley Thompson and Eleanor Hiles and a half brother, Ray Cantwell.

Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, September 23, 2011 in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan, with military graveside services being conducted by the Hocking County Honor Guard. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 6-8 P.M.
