Marie E. Sprague

Marie E. Sprague, 86, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Twin Maples Nursing Home in McArthur. She was born January 7, 1925 in Tarrant County, Texas, daughter of the late Roy Lee and Sarah Jane Willis Ballard. Marie was the widow of the late Donald James Sprague.

Marie is survived by a son, Arthur Connie Sprague; daughters, Nancy Tom Ragsdale, Donna Hatton, Jeanette David Biorn and Gloria Bart Ankrom; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Stephen and Donald Lane Sprague and brothers, Ellis and Dillard Ballard.

Funeral services will be held 3 P.M., Monday, October 10, 2011 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, from 1 P.M., until the time of the service.
