Grover A. Bundy Smith Sr.

Grover A. ""Bundy"" Smith Sr., 90, of McArthur, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 at his son's residence in Lebanon, Ohio. He was born September 8, 1921 in Vinton County, son of the late Wilmer and Alma Sims Smith. Grover was married to the late Mary Ralphlene Peacock Smith.

He retired from Mead Paper Company in Chillicothe, was a WWII Army Veteran and attended Vinton Station Church.

Grover is survived by sons, Clifford Sharon Dowler of Jackson, Grover Marie Smith Jr. of Detroit, Michigan, Bob Valerie Smith of Lebanon, Paul Smith of McArthur and Roger Michelle Smith of McArthur; a daughter, Betty Carlos Rodriguez of Orlando, Florida; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren and sisters, Carrie McElroy of Alliance, Ohio and Dhel Louise Madigan of Los Altos, California.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, James Smith; a daughter, Mary Lu Clevenger and eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 1 P.M., Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor David Peoples officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 5-8 P.M.
