Terrie Jean Hitchings

Terrie Jean Hitchings, 50, of The Plains, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011, unexpectedly at her residence. She was born March 17, 1961 in Lancaster, Ohio, daughter of Donna Hutchins Lopez of Nelsonville and the late Jack Lee Hitchings.

She was a student at Ohio University in a Masters Degree program.

Terrie is survived by her brother, Jack Wayne Maria Hitchings of Hampton, Virginia; sisters, Tina Brad Harter Romine of Athens and Ginger John Edwards Johnson of Athens; stepfather, Enrique Lopez of Nelsonville; several nieces and nephews and her dog Russell.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marina Winterbotham and nephew, Ryan Johnson.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville with Rev. Dave Cogar officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 12 noon until the time of the service.
