Marjorie Ann Blake

Marjorie Ann Blake, 92, of Chillicothe, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Westmoreland Place in Chillicothe. She was born June 23, 1919 in Vinton County, daughter of the late Ernest Fisher and Bertha Long Brown. Marjorie was the widow of the late Ray E. Blake.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Chillicothe and she was also member of OES Sereno Chapter 123 in McArthur.

Marjorie is survived by her sons, Keith L. Blake of Charleston, South Carolina, Gary Robert Blake of Chillicothe, Scott Tish Blake of Chillicothe and Rex Ann Blake of Kingston; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Robert Blake of Washington Courthouse; sister-in-law, Irene Blake Calvin of McArthur and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death her brother, Clarence Wayne Brown and sisters, Melba Lantz and Goldie Brown.

Marjorie's wishes were to be cremated. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family, in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
