William Edward Kurek, 93, of Logan, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011 at The Pickering House in Lancaster. He was born February 5, 1918 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late William and Frances Koles Kurek. William was married to Gloria Miller Murek, who survives.
He was a retired typewriter repairman and a WWII Army Veteran.
William is survived by his daughter, Diane L. Dennis Krasnosky of Logan; stepchildren, Bob Reichelt of Washington, Jim Reichelt of Cleveland and Sue Jeff Andrukat of Valley City, Ohio; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Miriam Dewsnap Kurek and his second wife, Phyllis Stenson Kurek.
William's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in Cleveland. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of William Edward Kurek to The Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
