Marie Lucille Penrod

Marie Lucille Penrod, 93, of McArthur, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Huston Nursing Home in Hamden. She was born June 8, 1918 in Vinton County, daughter of the late John and Elva Peck Reynolds. Marie was the widow of the late Sylvester O. Penrod.

She retired from Logan Goodyear after 16 years of service and was a member of the McArthur United Methodist Church.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Lois Adelmann of McArthur and Karen Jack Holt of Ashville; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; twenty-nine great great grandchildren; sisters, Garnet Remy of Wellston and Freda Barnhill of Columbus; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Anne Emmons; one great grandchild; two great great grandchildren; five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, December 11, 2011 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur with Rev. Dr. Walt Goble and Rev. Roger Ashley officiating. Interment will be in Elk Cemetery, McArthur. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from noon until the time of the service.
